I’ll Share You Some Stories With My Hand in Your Face
Well after about a month of vacationing in New York and canada, I’m back home here in (sunny) California. Ironically, there was now snow in either Canada or NY, but here I am in CA, typing this wearing gloves because my heater is broke. I slept in my jeans and jacket, fun, and it’s about 55*F in my house. Compare that to the norm of about 75.
Yeah, pretty cold.
So about my trip. Well, shall I write it out in all of it’s glorious details? Or rather spare my fingers and post a miniscule amount of pretend-tantalizing information of my accounts? I know, maybe the bigger the words I write, the less of them I have to write. But I digress; I think a mix of the two shall suffice.
Our story begins December nineteenth, in Bakersfield, California. It was a dark and story ni.. erhm, I mean, your typical almost-not-quite-winter-night in California. Due to my family not being rich, and me being a cheap bastard and not willing to pay an extra $100 to fly from Bako to LA, I had to take the shuttle bus instead. Now that being the case, I had to wait EIGHT HOURS in LAX before I even got on a plane. I was getting sick too, so being in a cold terminal at 10pm-6am wasn’t very good to say the least.
So all said and done I arrive in Buffalo, NY, albeit to my surprise, snow-less. Oh well, a non-white Christmas, what are you going to do. I see the family and all the kids and all that fun stuff. So that first week of vacation I was sick with a really bad sore throat to boot. Fantastic.
After Christmas was a time for sex, alcohol, and friends. Oh how I’ve missed all three. Unless you want all the details, I’m going to leave that week to your imagination.
So the next Friday, January somethingth, I take a bus(s) to Guelph, ON in Canada to see my friend Cole. He’s another designer like me, an d we really had a blast. We went to Toronto and rented a hotel room and went to the clubs with my other friend Karl. Oh Canadian beer how you afflict me so. So when were not out and aboot, we were making nachos, Flashing, guitaring, and playing snes roms. Great times.
I get back to NY on Tues, and the next day I take out my friend Jenny for some Olive Garden: it’s about as fancy as they get out there. It was a nice time, but we were both pretty tiered and just like vegged at her house for a few hours after half a bottle of Bacardi.
Thursday night I went to my mother’s friend’s house, for a Reiki treatment. That was a pretty neat experience. Afterwards we watched The Secret. Great movie, again.
Friday I finished the bottle of Bacardi with my friend Lindsey. Saturday I left home after delays and such, but went on my way, and here I am.
Well now that I’m finishing this post, it appears as the heat is back on! Time to take the gloves and jacket off and start coding!

Travel is something people do for different reasons. Why did you decide to take the trips? It sounds like visiting friends was part of it, but I also sense a possible desire in you to escape from certain things. Not everyone sits down with a friend and simply “finishes off a bottle of bacardi.” The idea of visiting parts of Canada and different U.S. states would interest many people. Would you like to go back sometime? What were the highlights you’d recommend? I also would like to know why you like “the Secret” film.
You may wish to look up the blog about it specifically. That’s really neat.
